May 29, 2018 (New York, NY) – Rapper, Producer, and actor Awkwafina reveals artwork for her debut EP digital release, “In Fina We Trust” via her own label Awkwafina Records and AWAL Recordings available Friday, June 1. The Queens native collaborated with Casi Moss – multifaceted designer, art director and photographer on the eclectic visual that dares interpretation.
Following in the footsteps of De La Soul, Kendrick Lamar, and Wu-Tang Clan the self-produced concept EP includes comedic skits showcasing Awkwafina’s effortless ability to make people laugh. Comedic songs on the project include the hilarious dating song “Ghost” and “Inner Thoughts” which is the result of what happens when you step into Awkwafina’s mind.
Awkwafina, a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Queens, NY, isn’t new to the Hip Hop scene. As early as 2012, she released her independent debut mixtape, Yellow Ranger which included viral hits “My Vag” and “NYC Bitche$”. landeding her high profile blog placements and editorials from the likes of New York Magazine and The New York Times. Momentum from her rise in music amplified her television and film career including roles on MTV’s Girl Code, films Bad Rap, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, the Netflix Originals “Dude” and others.
This year, fans will see Awkwafina, in her most major roles to date, in two highly anticipated summer movies Crazy Rich Asians – a romantic comedy film based on Kevin Kwan’s novel of the same name, and Ocean’s 8, an all-female spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s The Oceans Trilogy along with co-stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, and Rihanna.

PRINCESS NOKIA: New Video & Mixtape From Acclaimed MC Out Now

Princess Nokia–New York rapper Destiny Frasqueri–released her highly anticipated new mixtape A Girl Cried Red today via Rough Trade Records. The self-described “emo mixtape” can be heard here, and follows her critically acclaimed 2017 rap opus 1992 Deluxe. The video for first single “Your Eyes Are Bleeding” was directed by Milah Libin and Frasqueri, and features footage from the last two years of touring behind 1992 Deluxe.
The shape-shifting emcee has been releasing music via YouTube and Soundcloud since she was in high school and catapulted herself to the next level with 1992 Deluxe-selling out venues across the globe and steadily gaining tens of millions of streams. A Girl Cried Red showcases another fully formed side of Destiny that still taps into the uncompromising feminist ideology of Princess Nokia, and will undoubtedly cement her place in the alternative underground as well as the hip-hop world.
The mixtape draws on influences as varied as the introverted acoustic sounds of Elliott Smith to the bombastic pop-punk energy of Paramore. (April 6, 2018 – New York, NY) It´s one of the coldest places on earth, but two of Norway’s hottest stars have teamed up; Worldwide chart toppers Seeb are joining forces with emerging popstar Dagny on their brand-new single, ‘Drink About’, out now!  You can check it out here: seeb.lnk.to/DrinkAboutFtDagny.

‘Drink About’ is the first single to be lifted from Seeb’s forthcoming EP, ‘Nice To Meet You,’ set to be released on April 20th, and follows on from 2017’s ‘Cruel World’, which was a collaboration with Skip Marley.

On the single, Seeb says, “‘Drink About’ is the first single from our upcoming EP and it’s catchy but also a melancholic song. We thought Dagny’s vocal could fit the track, so we reached out and spent a day in the studio together. It was the perfect match – her attitude and energy truly lifts the song, in addition to her being incredible professional.”

Dagny explains, “I had the most amazing day recording this track with Seeb in their studio in Oslo. I loved the song when I heard it but as I’ve not really done many features before, I was really nervous about recording with them. We instantly connected, and it made me love the song even more, and by the end of the day we had a version that we all felt really excited about”

About Seeb:
As DJs and Producers, Seeb have been changing the shape of dance music since their now iconic remix of ‘I Took A Pill in Ibiza’ stormed the charts in 2016 which reached number 4 on Billboard 100 and received a Grammy Nomination. They have created a unique sound which in turn allowed them to reach 2 billion total streams since their debut just 2 years ago.

Originally made up of Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg, they released their first remixes in 2015 and before long had a Hype Machine #1 track with their fresh take on Kiesza’s ‘Cut Me Loose’. This was the first time the world heard their trademark cutting edge vocal tweaks and treatments. The track was quickly followed by a remix of Shawn Mendes’ ‘Stitches’.

After this came a massive collection of originals, remakes and remixes, most notably the smash remix of Coldplay’s ‘Hymn For The Weekend’, their collaboration with OneRepublic with ‘Rich Love,’ and their debut original ‘Breathe’ (feat. Neev). Third member Niklas Strandbråten then came on board completing the production trio, and Seeb secured their position as one of the most exciting new production acts. They have supported Avicii on his farewell shows at Ushuaia, Ibiza and Kygo at Hollywood Bowl. Their song has also been used as the official theme song for X-Games 2017 with their R.City remake Under Your Skin. Additionally, they won Pop Group of the Year at the Norwegian Grammy’s in 2017.

Kicking his career off at the age of 16 with the street single I Don’t Like, rapper Chief Keef was a hit on Chicago’s high school circuit before mixtapes and viral videos led to a contract with Interscope.  At a time when Kanye sat atop the throne, Drake was dictating hip-hop’s ever-shifting sound, and Kendrick was busy recording the most-anticipated rap debut since 50 Cent, Keef had become the hottest star.

Despite continued legal troubles, Keef’s popularity continued to grow. In early 2012 Keef was completing his sentence of house arrest at his grandmother’s home as his track, I Don’t Like, was topping a million views on video-sharing sites. It also caught the attention of Kanye West, who completed a remix of the track with Big Sean, Pusha T, and Jadakiss all added to the mix. The single landed on Finally Rich, Keef’s debut album released late in 2012 by Interscope. 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross made guest appearances, while production came from the likes of Young Chop and Mike Will Made-It. Despite more legal troubles in 2015, Keef issued four mixtapes, as well as a pair of LPs — Bang 3 and Nobody 2. He then took a step away from music in 2016, but returned with a vengance in 2017, releasing Two Zero One Sever, Finally Rollin 2, Thot Breaker, The W & his biggest project of the year, Dedication. This project included features from Lil Yachty & A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, along with production from D. Rich, StuntMan, Turbo, CBMix, and K.E. on the Track.

After a monster return in 2017, Chief Keef is keeping his momentum going strong into 2018. Earlier this month, Keef decided to come out of nowhere and release a project called The Leek (Vol. 4). Today he’s back with the 5th installment, made up of tracks not previously available on major streaming platforms and one new track, She A Freak. The Leek (Vol. 5) features 17 tracks with no listed guest appearances. LBE Chopps is a Artist out of Battle Creek Michigan. Chopps who has been rapping since 12 yrs old recently blew up the music scene with his hit single featuring Boosie Bad Azz titled “Picture Me Rolling which has 500,00+ views on his LBE chopps YouTube Channel. Chopps gravitated to the music scene listening to rappers such as, Tupac, Master P and C-Murder. Which inspired him to pursue a music career of his own. He also began writing his own music which led his uncle to get him in the studio for the first time. As he got older he started making money the best way he could and hitting the studio hard was his way of a come up and a legit way out. Chopps along with his cousin Gotti together they formed lbe with his talent and Gotti’s determination the two put a plan into motion to get out the streets for good. Since then Chopps have been able to perform on stage along side artists such as tee grizzley, sada baby, and T-Rell.
